  • Do you know a homeless Veteran? A Homeless Veterans Stand Down will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. Volunteers are needed! Over 45 local providers will be on hand to render medical, dental, meals and other VA services to homeless Veterans from Kane, DuPage, Kendall and Will Counties. Please disseminate this information at the widest level.   • The Sgt. Tommy's Kids Family Fishing Day will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at Herrick Lake in Wheaton, Illinois. Attendees will learn about and practice fishing, participate in games and crafts, enjoy a free lunch, and take home a rod and reel to enjoy the sport after the day is complete. All children ages 3-15 are welcome to attend with their families and friends. The event is always completely free, but we ask that attendees sign-up in advance.   • Join Ridin 4 Veterans on Sunday, July 31st for a scenic 80 mile ride with an after party ending at Redmill with live music, food and raffles! TLS veterans is a local nonprofit agency that provides behavioral healthcare, substance abuse care, food, shelter and employment assistance to homeless, disabled and disadvantaged Veterans. Registration begins at 10:00AM, kickstands up at 11:30AM. Cost is $20/per person. Presented by the Odd Fellows Century Lodge #492, Carpentersville, IL.
